[What and Why:] Stay up-to-date with what's happening in your other accounts and organizations with the 'Activity in Other Accounts and Orgs' panel. Preview and open chats, channels, and other activity in other accounts and orgs from your main Teams window - no tenant switching required. [Rollout Schedule:] Public Preview (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out in mid-November 2026 and expect to complete by late November 2026. General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, DoD): We will begin rolling out in late January 2027 and expect to complete by early February 2027. [Impact on Your Organization:] Customers who are signed in to multiple Teams accounts or have accepted an invitation to join another organization as a guest with Teams will see an updated 'Activity in Other Accounts and Orgs' panel on the bottom left of their Teams client. Previously, users could only see new activity (e.g. reactions, @mentions) in the panel. With the new enhancements, users can preview content and filter across familiar categories, allowing for faster triage and streamlined external collaboration. There is no change to any security posture or admin policy. Teams is simply allowing users to navigate to chats and channels from other accounts and organizations faster and without tenant switching. Users who only have one Teams account and organization are not impacted by this change. [Action Required/Recommendations:] No preparation by admins is needed. If desirable, admins can encourage people in their organization who do a lot of external collaboration to try this feature out, as it will relieve one of the biggest pain points we've heard from customers about external collaboration: tenant switching. [Compliance considerations:] No compliance considerations identified. Review as appropriate for your organization.
