[What and why] We are retiring the ability for online participants to turn off IntelliFrame for their own view in meetings with a Microsoft Teams Room that has Cloud IntelliFrame enabled. This change provides all online participants with the same view of the room, as configured on the Teams Rooms device. Currently, online participants using Microsoft Teams desktop on Windows and Mac can right-click the video tile of a Teams Room using Cloud IntelliFrame and select Turn off IntelliFrame . This switches to the standard room view only on their own Teams client. [Rollout schedule] General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout will begin in late November 2026 and is expected to complete by early January 2027. General Availability (GCC, GCC High): Rollout will begin in mid-December 2026 and is expected to complete by late January 2027. [Impact on your organization] Who is affected Online participants using Microsoft Teams desktop on Windows and Mac who join meetings with a Microsoft Teams Room using Cloud IntelliFrame. This change does not affect how Cloud IntelliFrame is enabled or configured on Teams Rooms devices or any admin policies.
