[What and why] We're introducing Record in the Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app. This feature enables users to capture in-person conversations or record voice notes and receive an AI-generated transcript and summary in Copilot Chat after recording ends.Record helps users capture important information wherever work happens and quickly transform spoken content into actionable summaries. Built on Microsoft 365's enterprise-grade security, compliance, and manageability capabilities, recordings and generated content remain governed by the same controls that protect users' Microsoft 365 data. Recording laws and organizational policies vary by location, and Microsoft 365 Copilot does not notify other participants when a user starts recording.Review mobile app governance requirements and determine whether the feature should remain enabled for your organization. If you want to disable Record, deploy an App Configuration Policy in Microsoft Intune and set com.microsoft.office.officemobile.Dictation.IsAllowed = false.Record content is automatically in scope for your existing Microsoft Purview eDiscovery, sensitivity labels, DLP, and retention policies.
